Nice and wild pick-ups at Decatur CD. I'm a huge fan of The Blasters and have most of their stuff. The first time I went to The Whiskey A Go-Go in 1981 they were the headliner and I was sold, not knowing who they were. I've seen them several times and still love them. Marie Marie off the second record (their best) is my favorite song they do. I've talked to Phil Alvin a few times and he is a real cool dude.

Dressy Bessy! I picked that up when out in Denver (Wax Trax). Some good pop-rock right there.

Warner Brothers struck out with some really good records in the late 70's early 80's by Robin Lane , Code Blue , Pearl Harbor & Urban Verbs. They did break Van Halen.

Yes I can confirm their 2nd album is named after their street. The actual street is Beacon Ave (not Street) and I’ve actually driven through that street and stopped briefly in front of their old house on more than one occasion (I live in la habra, about 8 miles north of Anaheim, but I work in Anaheim and always drive past beacon Ave when i drive down euclid street next to it; I think most people in the area know the exact house where the band stayed and practiced) I always think about them as I drive near their street. I’ve also passed by the mini market from the Sunday morning music video on Santa Ana street near the 5 freeway right next to Disneyland. Yep it’s still there and looks exactly the same as in the video filmed almost 30 years ago! Wish I knew where the house in that video was. Probably nearby. I also attended cal state Fullerton from 2014-2016 and Gwen briefly studied there and no doubt filmed a small concert there in 1994

Watching this video makes me so happy that Asbury Park has rebuilt itself. It’s so sad to think that back in the 90s, no one wanted to go there. Today, it’s a destination again. There are sections that still need rebuilding like there’s a building on the other side of the convention center that is still abandoned but overall everything else looks great. If I have one critique of Asbury Park is they need to bring rides back again. The place has the feel of a boardwalk park. And it doesn’t have to be anything major. Point Pleasant has a small park so it can be done. It doesn’t have to be Morey’s Piers.
